Go Industries is expanding our contractor supply, sales and partner network throughout Barrie, Simcoe County and surrounding areas.

We’re looking for an ambitious, knowledgeable Sales Representative who wants a guaranteed $41,600 annual base salary with the opportunity to significantly increase their income by building a portfolio of recurring contractor accounts.

This isn’t just a traditional HVAC sales position.

You’re Not Limited to B2B: Contractor account development will be an important focus, but you are not restricted to B2B sales.

Flexible Hybrid Work

This is a hybrid sales position combining remote work, office work and

in-person field sales.

Representatives can work remotely for activities such as:

Customer phone calls.
Emails and follow-ups.
Account management.
Sales prospecting.
Preparing and following up on quotes.
Maintaining customer relationships.

You’ll also spend time in the field meeting contractors, visiting businesses, developing new accounts and maintaining existing relationships.

Some work may also be completed from the Go Industries Barrie office.

This is not a fully remote position. Successful candidates must be comfortable travelling throughout their assigned territory and meeting customers in person.

We believe strong contractor relationships are built through a combination of in-person relationships and responsive remote support.

What You’ll Do:

Prospect for new contractor and commercial accounts.
Visit contractors and businesses throughout your territory.
Build relationships with owners, technicians and purchasing contacts.
Understand contractors’ equipment, parts and material requirements.
Learn where customers currently purchase equipment and supplies.
Help source HVAC equipment, parts and installation materials.
Introduce contractors to Go Industries’ supply, delivery and warranty support.
Prepare and follow up on quotes and sales opportunities.
Grow purchasing volume within existing accounts.
Build and manage your own portfolio of recurring customers.
Develop referral and strategic partner relationships.
Identify potential subcontractors for the Go Industries network.
Generate additional residential and commercial opportunities.

HVAC Industry Knowledge Required:

This position requires previous HVAC industry experience and a working knowledge of HVAC equipment, replacement parts, installation materials and common service supplies.

You should be comfortable discussing products and requirements with HVAC contractors and technicians.

Knowledge should include familiarity with:

Furnaces.
Air conditioners.
Heat pumps.
Ductless systems.
Thermostats and controls.
Motors and electrical components.
Venting and gas materials.
Refrigeration components.
Filters and indoor air quality products.
Fittings and installation materials.
Common HVAC replacement and service parts.

You do not need to be a licensed HVAC technician.

However, you must have enough industry knowledge to confidently communicate with contractors, understand what they’re requesting and help source the appropriate equipment, parts and materials.

Experience working for an HVAC contractor, wholesaler, distributor, supply house, manufacturer or in HVAC counter/inside sales would be particularly valuable.
