GO K9 Club is looking for dependable, energetic and genuinely caring dog lovers to join our growing team.

Inspired by our own dogs, Phoenix and Luna, GO K9 Club is being built around a simple idea: provide reliable, personal care that helps dogs remain happy, active and comfortable while their families are away or busy.

We are beginning with personalized in-home comfort breaks and dog-walking services, with exciting plans for outdoor adventures and additional pet-care services as the business grows.

This is an opportunity to join a new local company from the beginning and help shape the experience we provide to Barrie-area dogs and their families.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities may include:

Visiting clients’ homes for scheduled comfort breaks.
Walking dogs safely in their neighbourhoods.
Providing fresh water, meals or medication when instructed.
Offering individual attention, playtime and companionship.
Following each pet’s care instructions and routine.
Sending visit updates, photos and notes to pet owners.
Securing clients’ homes carefully after each visit.
Keeping accurate records through our pet-care app.
Monitoring pets for changes in behaviour, health or comfort.
Maintaining safe, clean and organized equipment.
Assisting with future outdoor adventure services.
Representing GO K9 Club professionally in the community.

Who We’re Looking For

The right person will be:

Dependable, punctual and organized.
Patient, calm and confident around dogs.
Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes and personalities.
Able to follow detailed care and safety instructions.
Comfortable working independently throughout the day.
Friendly and professional when communicating with clients.
Able to use a mobile app for scheduling, notes and photos.
Available during key daytime pet-care periods.
Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
Physically capable of walking and safely handling dogs.
Respectful of clients’ homes, privacy and property.
Interested in growing with a new pet-care company.

Previous professional pet-care experience is helpful but not required. The right attitude, reliability and genuine care for animals are extremely important to us.

Requirements:

Valid Ontario driver’s licence.
Reliable personal vehicle.
Smartphone with data access.
Ability to travel throughout Barrie and surrounding service areas.
Willingness to complete a background check.
Ability to provide references.

Pet first-aid certification, animal-care education or previous experience with dog walking, daycare, grooming, veterinary care or pet sitting would be an asset.
